MazM’s next title is Hamlet—another play by William Shakespeare and one of his four greatest tragedies. 💀

While staying true to the original story, this is an attempt to bring out new layers of charm.

In Hamlet, MazM plans to further expand the branching choices system that was strengthened in Romeo and Juliet.
Players will be able to directly face and make decisions on existential dilemmas—like the iconic “to be or not to be.” These choices will appear in a variety of situations, from life-or-death moments to bittersweet romantic encounters. |

🐶 Romeo’s Father, Lord Montague
Lord Montague is the head of the Montague family and hopes that his household will always act with honesty and dignity. Because of this, he has high expectations for his son, Romeo!
It’s said that this is his own way of trying to outmatch their longtime rivals, the Capulets. |
🐶 Romeo’s Mother, Lady Montague
Lady Montague is physically very weak, and as a result, often full of worries and anxiety. She’s especially concerned that her son Romeo and her husband’s nephew Benvolio might be harmed because of the Capulets. |

👑 The Rulers of Verona: Escalus & Valentia
In the original Romeo and Juliet, Escalus appears as the sole Prince of Verona. While designing the character for MazM, both a male and a female version were explored. Since both designs were equally compelling, MazM chose to have Verona ruled by both a Prince and a Princess!
In MazM’s story, the two are siblings—Escalus is Count Paris’s father, and Valentia is Mercutio’s mother. While the original describes Mercutio and Count Paris merely as relatives of the prince, MazM aimed to strengthen the sense of “family” and a unified noble household. |
