Do you know that the monster(nepe) representing the "Madness of Knowledge" in 'Thy Creature' was originally inspired by an owl, a giant creature?

Ancient Greeks might have thought that the owl symbolized wisdom due to its large eyes and its ability to see well at night.

So, the owl might have become a symbol of the goddess of wisdom, Athena!

By the way, for these reasons, owls have also become symbols of philosophy, and the phrase 'Minerva's owl' is widely used.

Minerva is the Roman equivalent of Athena, the goddess of wisdom, but she's also associated with war, poetry, arts, crafts, trade, skill, and music.

It's said that through the process of amalgamation, various local deities merged into one, becoming an all-encompassing deity.

So, could the owl monster in 'Thy Creature' also be an all-encompassing... Nepe... perhaps? 🤔

Most of the characters who wear glasses in MazM's games are quite intelligent. Just like the round shape of an owl's eyes, the majority of them wear round-shaped glasses!

Utterson, who wears a round monocle, is a wise lawyer, and Victor possesses the knowledge and abilities to create life.

Lizaveta, the one with two round glasses, unfortunately, didn't become a doctor but was a top executive. Kate is an excellent fighter and chemist. Mihir is a poet who writes beautiful poems in Bengali, but should we consider him as wearing glasses based on the ending of 'Hyde and Seek'?

This scene shows Utterson discovering Hyde's body after he consumed the draught and committed suicide.

If you look closely, Hyde's lower half is obscured by shadows, and we want to unveil the image that appears below.

In the original work, Hyde's final description implies that he grew to be as large as Jekyll, but we wanted to use the illustration to convey the experience that Jekyll and Hyde were the same person and could not be separated. However, through internal discussions (I can't recall the exact reasons), it was decided to use the version where the lower half is obscured.

Instead of explicitly mentioning a specific substance like the 'draught' to avoid having a negative impact on players, we used expressions that hint at a certain substance, such as 'almond scent,' allowing players to deduce Jekyll's/ Hyde's fate.

There's a scientific reason for Hyde's lips turning pale. In the case of the draught, the absorption of the poison occurs very quickly, accelerating the bloodstream almost instantaneously.

That's why the small blood vessels near the skin, such as the lips and fingernail tissues, are affected and become visible...

Jekyll and Hyde's final moments must have been truly agonizing...

Utterson watching that must have been difficult too. 😥

Chuseok is coming up soon!
Chuseok is one of Korea's major holidays, also known as Hangawi or Gabeol, celebrated on the 15th day of the lunar calendar, which falls between September and October in the Gregorian calendar. The Korean term "Chuseok" means "mid-autumn", signifying the harvest season in the middle of autumn. It's a time for celebrating abundance and giving thanks. Families come together to share food, enjoy games, and strengthen their bonds.
