the character concept design for ‘Metamorphosis’ a month ago?

MazM checked the many letters sent by MazMians,

considered the feedback written in them in detail,

and revised the character concept design!

I will tell you the results and the detailed story!😃

1. Franz Kafka

Tada!🎉
In fact, in the case of Franz Kafka (hereafter Kafka),

not many modifications were made.

MazM changed his design to make him look more like a living person.
Oh, when I look closely, I can feel the difference...!😮
And the angle was slightly changed to show his face figure better.

Although his clothing style and actual eye color are not exactly the same as in real life, it was MazM's choice to enhance the character's charm!

Please consider that MazM created the character to play Franz Kafka

based on the real person!🖌️

(For reference, Franz Kafka's actual eye color is closer to brown to black,

and his skin color is tan.)

2. Hermann Kafka

In the case of Hermann Kafka, the design was not significantly changed.
However, by taking important notes from MazMians' feedback,

MazM was able to change the design for the better!👍

First of all, it is said that Hermann was made to appear stronger

as a character opposing the protagonist Franz.
His look has become even scarier,

and a creepy staff has been added to his design!😅

His walking stick was designed that way because he sold walking sticks at store and the last name 'Kafka' refers to jackdaw.
However, the actual jackdaw looks a bit silly and cute,

so MazM added an eerie feeling!

3. Felice Bauer

There was so much discussion that it took a very long time for internal meetings to revise Felice Bauer's design.🗣️

MazM modified the angle slightly to add some of the real Felice's physical features.

FYI, her hair isn't her bob, it's her long hair done up to look like a bob!

In the case of the real Felice, the silhouette was not impressive,

so MazM thought it would not be attractive

if it was made into a character right away.

So, they created the design in a way that would bring out the silhouette and charm of the character as much as possible!🖌️

As for hair color, the overall design matches better with darker hair colors!

However, in Kafka's diary, her hair color is described as 'blonde', so MazM took this as reference... I'm not sure why Felice's photo shows dark hair...!

Does anyone know about this well?🆘

For reference, the reason why Felice was described in Kafka's diary as having an 'empty and tired face' was because Felice stopped by Prague briefly during a long trip at the time. 🚂

And it was late at night! So, I think Felice was very tired during her first meeting with Kafka.

MazM decided to take note of this description in Felice's first appearance! , please consider the Felice you see now as the Felice full of energy before she set off on her trip!

I think it would be funny to hear them bicker. Jekyll is so collected and Hyde is so brash that seeing Hyde playfully antagonize Jekyll would be incredibly funny. I imagine that they argue like siblings, with Jekyll assuming the role of the tired older brother and Hyde as the annoying younger brother. Maybe by telling his story alongside his darker self, Jekyll would be able to reconcile with his desires? Either way, it would be entertaining to see."
