The weather is clear these days and a pleasant breeze is blowing!🌬️
So, I ride around on my bike, which has been sitting in the shed all winter!🚲

The Beginning: The Apartment where Kafka Lived

Franz Kafka lived with his parents and two younger sisters in 1912.
One of them, a younger sister, soon got married and moved out!
Kafka is said to have lived in the ‘coldest room’ in his house.🥶

Sadly, Kafka's room is not yet open to the public.

Vltava River: Mist and Statues of Saints

The Vltava River is better known by its German name, ‘Moldau’.
'Vltava' is a Czech notation, so I used that name in this letter!

When you look down from the window in Kafka's room,

you can see the Vltava River and the bridge!🌁
It is said that statues of religious saints were erected on the bridge over the river.

And you can see swans on the Vltava River during the day!🦢

Kafka's Walk

Oh my, it’s fall so the sun sets quickly!🌆
So I went into the alley.

It is said that Kafka went for walks often!
He would walk for hours, alone, with her sister, or with friends.
Even when he couldn't write well, he would go for a walk to change his mood.

If you go to Prague, can we go down the path Kafka walked?🚶

It's quiet here and there's no one around, so it feels a little eerie...!
