I'm sad to be stuck indoors because it's raining so much that it's dangerous to go outside and ride my bike. I hope people around the world don't suffer from heavy rain.

Birds Appears in ‘Kafka’s Metamorphosis’! 🐦 |

Each person's last name has a meaning. Although people don't pay much attention to its meaning these days, surnames often contain hints that reveal the origins or characteristics of a family.
Franz Kafka's last name, 'Kafka', means jackdaw in ancient Czech(Kavka). Although the bird's image is not immediately associated with Franz Kafka, his father Hermann was a greedy and realistic ambitious person, just like the bird. That was a characteristic of the ‘Kafka family’, excluding Franz. 😮

In the story dealing with the short story 'the Metamorphosis', some characters have the appearance of jackdaw-crow beastmen. They are the manager, maid, and boarders who appear in the novel. What they have in common is that they are not Gregor's family, but outsiders, and they cause hardship to Gregor.
Not only Franz, but also Gregor is compared to a bug (and has the appearance of a bug!), and outsiders are like 'birds' that eat bugs...😦 |

Also, in the story about Franz Kafka's life, there are characters who cause hardship to Franz. Except his family, of course! These people have the appearance of imperfect jackdaw beasts, and they are characters in Franz's imaginary world. They continue to attack and insult Franz, who has identified himself as a writer but is hurt and struggling with reality. 💥 These are beings created in homage to a scene from Kafka's novel 'The Trial'.
Why on earth are these people pecking at Franz and taking on the appearance of birds, even though they are characters in Franz's imaginary world? Will Franz be able to escape from these ‘kavkas’ and find the life he wants?
