MazM is currently conducting internal tests and other work for a stable release of 'Kafka's Metamorphosis'. The original goal was to release it next week, but they are monitoring the situation. Although it is difficult to give a definite date in today's letter, I can promise you two things! 🕤

Hello, MazMians! I would like to take this opportunity to briefly talk about 'Kafka's Metamorphosis'.
'Kafka's Metamorphosis' is an emotional short-form story game based on the life of Czech writer Franz Kafka and his most famous novella, 'The Metamorphosis'. The game is set in the fall of 1912 when Kafka wrote The Metamorphosis. It captures Kafka's struggle to live as a writer while being pressured to fulfill roles as a young man, employee, and eldest son. The game aims to explore and express why Kafka wrote The Metamorphosis.
The game is inspired by the literary world and life of Franz Kafka, as well as his various works. Among them, The Metamorphosis and The Judgment are the most representative, both closely related to Kafka’s lifelong difficulties with his father. The Metamorphosis, in particular, resonates with people worldwide as it depicts the struggles of an eldest son who transforms into a vermin. In Kafka's Metamorphosis, the novella serves as the central motif, focusing on Kafka and Gregor Samsa’s familial issues. The key difference is that Kafka's story emphasizes the conflict between his identity as a writer and his father's expectations.
The feeling of being insignificant or treated as such under pressure is something not only we face today but also what Kafka and countless others experienced in 1912. Discover how Kafka, both as a human and as a writer, made his choices and wrote his stories in Kafka's Metamorphosis.
This game offers a lyrical and melancholic experience with simple touch controls and a fast-paced, short-form narrative, much like a short film. Players will explore Franz Kafka’s daily life and inner world, experiencing a range of emotions and stories.
Reading Kafka’s works encountered in the game afterward will provide a fresh and engaging experience. As a hint, beyond The Metamorphosis and The Judgment, the game draws on Kafka’s novels like 'The Castle' and 'The Trial', as well as his diaries and letters.
Following Kafka's Metamorphosis, MazM is preparing a story reinterpreting Edgar Allan Poe’s classic tales 'The Black Cat' and 'The Fall of the House of Usher'. This will be MazM's first foray into the horror/occult genre, so please look forward to it.

"This experience happened to me recently when I was on the ship on my way back to Athens from Crete in August 2024 and I was sitting at my seat reading my book when I saw from a couple of seats away a man probably a tourist staring at me and smiling at me with a creepy smile. At first I didn't pay attention and focused on my book. After some time I decided to go back to my family and the moment I stood up from my seat he stood up too and when I went back to my family my mum asked me what was wrong and when I told her my sister told me that this man was staring and smiling at her too in a weird way and we both panicked. My mom got angry and told us to sit here and that he wouldn't dare to hurt us. When my dad came back too we told him what happened and he went to talk to him but my dad is Greek and doesn't know English so he wouldn't know how to communicate. Then entire time this man was going back and forth from where we were sitting staring at us and my dad was really mad. My mom said that he didn't want to hurt us but steal something from us and that was probably the case so we had to protect our stuff from being stolen. My youngest sisters went to sleep at the airport seats behind the spot we were sitting and we were constantly checking up on them for their safety. After some time of reading my book I started getting sleepy too but I couldn't sleep cause my mom was outside smoking and my dad was already asleep but he told me if I see the guy to wake him up and I did every time that man showed up. When my mom noticed that I was sleepy she told me to wake up my dad to take care of the stuff and that I should go to sleep and that's what I did. I secured my phone and headphones in my mom's bag and went to the airport seats to sleep with my sisters. Around two hours later my dad woke us up because the ship arrived at the Athens's port and after some time when me, my sisters and my mom got out of the ship and my dad arrived with the car we got in and went home and never saw that man again ever since but it was a story that really frightened me. Hello MazMians Andy here and after I shared my story with all of you guys I want to give you a piece of advice...always take care of your stuff cause you never know when you'll end up in the same or in a similar situation like mine okk??? "As a school trip, we travelled to Germany by a ferry. Going to Germany via ferry was a breeze, everyone enjoyed the waves and view of the sea. Although, when we came back from Germany, the ferry ride was horrendous! Tables and chairs were moving up and down because of the strong wind, and my friend's water cup fell on the floor! The funniest thing was throughout the whole journey back home, I was asleep! (I was also holding a cup with orange juice according to my friend!)"
