She is a descendant of Spanish immigrants who settled in the southern United States and originally comes from Andalusia. Will Jimena be swept up in the fate of the Usher family? Dahlia Usher is the aunt of the Usher twins, Roderick and Madeline, and an original character created by MazM. She was inspired by the line from The Fall of the House of Usher that states, “The Ushers only continue through direct lineage.” In fact, this idea played a major role in shaping the setting and backstory of The Black Cat: Usher’s Legacy. As expected, even in modern times, Dr. Jekyll holds a prestigious and socially respectable profession, yet behind the scenes, he commits terrible deeds as Mr. Hyde! It’s interesting how everyone has a similar perception of Dr. Jekyll. 🎭 |

Mr. Utterson and Mr. Enfield don’t seem too different from their 19th-century counterparts! A musical actor… I wonder if Mr. Utterson would actually enjoy singing on stage! 🎶 |

We explored the Jekyll and Hyde characters across different eras together with MazMians! Thinking about it, while the types of professions and their social perceptions haven’t changed much between the 19th century and today, overall trends, technology, and ideologies are vastly different.
Still, classic literary works like the strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde continue to be loved because they hold timeless charm and messages that transcend eras!
